Evil 'Science'
Animal testing is a fate worse than death...
Animal testing is cruel, unnecessary "science" where only healthy, 'normal' animals are subjected to every form of pain and mutilation imaginable. Any injury that a human could possibly experience is inflicted on these animals to report the reactions of the animal and the reaction of a potential treatment. Animals are infected with every disease and virus a human could possibly encounter.
The Tests
Eye Irritancy Tests
Experimenters
drop substances like shampoo, mouthwash, correction fluid, and disinfectant into
the eyes of fully conscious rabbits and record the damage, which can include
ulceration, bleeding, and blindness. Animals are often "recycled" for use in
other tests.
Lethal dose tests
Toothpaste, Lipstick, liquid soap, ink, oven cleaner, and other chemicals are pumped into animals' stomachs to determine how much will kill or incapacitate them. Death comes from painful poisoning or stomach rupture.
Inhalation tests
Animals are
forced to inhale massive amounts of aersol products such as air freshener,
deodorant, and hair spray, until they die from asphyxiation or poisoning.
Skin Irritancy Tests
Nail polish remover, furniture wax, hair removers, drain cleaners, and other substances are smeared onto rabbits' shaved raw skin. This commonly results in blistering and bleeding. Some chemicals eat completely through the animals' tender skin.
